it's like an addiction
"Everything is getting out of control".
Deyan Sudjic, the director of the Design Museum, London, is "design-talking" in this excellent interview about the way we've been always expressing ourselves by consumption, and the designer's role in a "neurotic process of selling things we don't really need" x "creating what's really valuable".
Design goes both ways and that's why it's such an interesting subject.
No livro "A Linguagem das Coisas" ele continua falando de objetos, de moda e de luxo, sem se prender só à estética, à publicidade e ao consumo, mas também evocando a história, os costumes e a tecnologia.
Porque a utilidade é irmã gêmea da futilidade.
